My dog eats its own faeces; what causes this?
There have been many theories put forward for the causes of Copropragia (eating faeces.) The condition is most common in kennelled dogs fed on cheap low quality foods. Copropragia is not a normal canine characteristic but probably symptomatic of toxic non-specific gastro-intestinal problems. A change to a high quality food such as Montanus will improve its gastric condition. Isolation from its faecal area will help to break the habit.
